Create a User Parameter

1. In the Setup Development > Parameters tab, in the Initial parameters or Parameter changes data grid, click Edit user defined parameters.

The User Parameters form appears.

2. Click Insert.

A row is added to the User parameters data grid, with the Name user_1.

3. In the columns of the User parameters data grid:
   1. In the Name column, type a unique name.
   2. In the Type column, select the parameter type.
   3. If the user parameter is numeric, in the Weight by column, select the quantity value to weight by.
   4. In the Background value column, type the background value.
4. Click Close.

The new user parameter is added to the scenario.
